This Indenture made the Twentieth day of August in the year One Thousand

eight hundred and seventy eight Between Marion Preudhomme of the --

Parish of Saint John in the Island of Grenada Widow of the First part David

Hasma Preudhomme of the same place Planter and Agnes Duncan his

wife of the Second part James Donaldson of the same place Plantation of the

Third part William Augustus Preudhomme of the same place Planter and

Margaret Henderson his Wife of the Fourth part James Ralph Mitchell

of the Parish of Saint Patrick in the said Island Planter and Jessie Rose

Stewart his wife of the Fifth part (hereinafter called the Vendors) and --

Anthony Perreira of the said parish of Saint John in the said Island

Planter (hereinafter called the Purchaser) of the Sixth part. Whereas Rose McLay

late of Charlotte Town in the said Island deceased duly made and executed her

last Will and Testament in writing dated the First day of August in the year

One thousand eight hundred and fifty seven and thereby devised the here-

ditaments intended to be hereby granted unto her five grand children the

said Marion Preudhomme (herein described as Mary Ann Rose) Agnes Duncan

the Wife of the said David Hasma Preudhomme (herein described as Agnes) --

James Donaldson (herein described as James) Margaret Henderson the wife of the said William Augustus

Preudhomme (herein described as Margaret Anderson (sic))

and Jessie Rose Stewart the wife of the said James Ralph Mitchell share and

share alike. And between the Vendors have respectively agreed with the -

Purchaser for the sale to him of the said hereditaments and the inheritance

thereof in fee simple in possession free from incumbrance at the price of

Two hundred and ten pounds sterling. Now this Indenture Witnesseth

that in pursuance of the aforesaid agreement and in consideration of Two hundred and

ten pounds to the Vendors paid by the Purchaser on or before the execution of these

presents (the receipt whereof the Vendors do hereby acknowledge and from the same

do and each of them doth hereby requit and release the Purchaser his Heirs Executors

Administrators and Assignees? They the Vendors respectively as to their respective

individual fifth part or share of and in the hereditaments included to be here before

granted. Do and every of them Doth hereby Grant and ____ unto the purchaser

and his heirs All that lot piece or parcel of land with the Messuages thereon situate

in Charlotte Town in the said Island of Grenada measuring in depth Fifty

five feet six inches and its breadth Thirty two feet to the same more or

less and abutted and bounded as follows that is to say in the West by

DePradue Street on the South by St. Saviour Street in the North by the

lands of the Vendors and on the East by lands of Mrs. Alvan Patrick

Ferguson or however otherwise the same may be abutted bounded kindred

or divided Together with all building erections fixtures ways paths passages

water watercourses lights privileges easements advantages and appurtenances

whatsoever to the said lot piece or parcel of land and Messuages belonging

or in anywise appertaining or usually held or ______ therewith or - (end of page 1)

reputed to belong or be pertinent thereto. And all the estate rights

title interest law and demand whatsoever of the Vendors respectively

into and upon the said premises and every part thereof. To have and

To hold the hereditaments and premises hereby granted or expressed to

be unto the Purchaser his Heirs and Assigns To the use of the Purchaser

his Heirs and Assigns for ever. And the said Marion Preudhomme (as to

one undivided fifth part or share of and in the hereditaments hereby granted

but not further or otherwise). And the said David Hasma Preudhomme (as to one other

undivided fifth part or share of and in the same hereditaments but not further or otherwise).

And the said James Donaldson (as to one other undivided fifth part or share of and in the

same hereditaments but not further or otherwise). And the said William Augustus Preudhomme (as to one other undivided

fifth part or share of and in the same hereditaments but not further or otherwise) do hereby for themselves respectively and

for their respective Heirs Executors

and Administrators Covenant with the Purchaser his Heirs and Assigns. That not with-

standing any act deed or thing by the Vendors respectively or by the said testatrix

Rose McLay done or executed or knowingly suffered to the contrary they the Vendors

respectively now have good right to grant the hereditaments and premises hereby granted

or expressed so to be unto and to the use of the Purchaser his Heirs and Assigns in

manner aforesaid. And that the purchaser his Heirs and Assigns shall and may at all --

times hereafter peaceably and quietly posses and enjoy the said hereditaments and --

premises and receive the rents and profits thereof without any lawful witness interaction

claim or demand whatsoever fro or by them the Vendors respectively or their respective

Heirs or any of them or any person or persons lawfully or equitably claiming from

under or in trust for them or any of them or from or under the said testatrix

Rose McLay. And that free from all incumbrance whatsoever made occasioned or

suffered by the Vendors respectively or their respective heirs or any of them of by the said

Rose McLay or any person or persons lawfully of equitably claimed as aforesaid -

And further that they the Vendors respectively and their respective heirs and all -

persons whosoever having or lawfully or equitably claiming any estate or interest in the

said hereditaments and premises or any part thereof from under or in trust for the

Vendors respectively or their respective heirs or any of them or from or under the said

testatrix Rose McLay shall and with from time to time and at all times hereafter

at the request and cost of the Purchaser his Heirs and Assigns do and unto

or ever to be done and executed all such acts deeds and things whatsoever for -

further or ___ perfectly assuring the said hereditaments and premises and

every part thereof unto and to the use of the purchaser his Heirs and Assigns

in manner aforesaid as shall or may be reasonably required. In witness whereof

the said parties to these presents have hereunto set their hand and seals the

day and year first herein above written.
