Jacques "James" Preudhomme
The family story says that three brothers came from France
to Grenada in the
1700's. They may have come from Paris (according to cousin John
Ward). The branch that I have been able to follow back starts with Jacques
Preudhomme, called James. He seems to be the originator of our connections in Grenada.
I first started to connect the Preudhomme families while researching other
lines. They soon cropped up marrying into ALL my surnames in
Grenada. Many cousins were related two and three times. It wasn't
long before I had collected over 400 names.
I am happy to say that, thanks to RootsWeb, I am in
contact with several Preudhomme cousins.
